Surface roadworks update

The council do not intend to issue parking permits for the surfacing works on the Drive and Terrace as access outside residents properties would only be for a few hours each day.

Access to driveways would be reinstated each day.

However if there are any residents who feel that they would require use of their car during the day or that they would be negatively impacted if their drive was restricted by this can let Martin Watson know if they would like a permit for parking and it would operate as before.

However each permit would only be required for one day as the works will be cleared each evening.

Unfortunately Martin can’t give specific dates and locations for the surfacing as yet as it is dependant on completion of the footways.

As they progress however he will be able to provide a more accurate timescale for the carriageway works later this week, current estimate is the carriageway work will start on Monday but Martin will give the WRA an update should this change.
