Scamshare Protection Guidance

Find the latest edition at https://mailchi.mp/f60a4f562f8a/scam-share In this edition of Scam Share we'll look at some of the most recent scams which have been reported by consumers across Scotland. It's more important than ever to make sure that you stay Scam Aware and share information about scams with vulnerable relatives or friends. Report all scams to Advice Direct Scotland on 0808 164 6000. You can also forward suspicious email to report@phishing.gov.uk and use the National Cyber Security Centre's new scam website reporting service at https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/ to send links from websites which you think are trying to scam the public. If you receive a suspicious text message you can forward it to 7726. The free-of-charge ‘7726’ service enables your provider to investigate and take action if malicious content is found. If you have been the victim of fraud, report it to Police Scotland on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
