Information received via Councillor Osler, from Scottish Water:-
Inverleith Place has been closed at the junction with Inverleith Row to allow investigations and emergency repair works to take place to a suspected damaged sewer.
Following reports of a hole in the road, Scottish Water teams responded immediately and are working to identify and fix the damaged section of sewer which is around 5 metres below the road surface.
A full road closure is required to carry out the repairs safely and road users are advised to follow all signage for diversions.
